The Buttonhole Ribbon Snake

This is the buttonhole ribbon snake that I made recently for my kid to play with. She is getting pretty good at it though. Since she will start buttoning her own clothes soon, I find this buttonhole snake a good practice for her. It is simple to make and easy to carry around too. A wonderful project that I adopt from a creative blog.
Please refer on how to make it here.

Happy craftting!

Pink daily schedule

After much thought about creating a daily schedule that my little one can toy with, I have come out with this clothing pegs daily schedule. It was really fun and easy to make and also my little one loves it very much. She can choose what she wants to do for the day / week and we plan ahead. Partly she gets to participate in the decision making and also get to train her motor skills as well.
The materials I used are mainly ribbons, recycle cards and clothing pegs.
Hope you love this too!

I have decided to create Bean Bag numbers for my little one to play with.
It is a project that I picked up from Chez Beeper Bebe. Here's the link here for the tutorial. http://chezbeeperbebe.blogspot.com/2010/01/tutorial-and-pattern-counting-bean-bags.html

Here's the Numbers from 1-10. It's reallly easy to make and my little one loves it so much!
She has even found a pail to put all of the bean bags in it.

Red Riding Hood Story party

Here's the recent party that I have set up for

my little girl birthday party.

The theme is Little Red Riding Hood with some simple colours

such as Red, Green, Brown and White.

The party was a blast and everyone was happy

with the food and most importantly the kids were happy.

Here is the cake which I ordered specifically for the party.

Thanks Ling Tze from KittyBakes http://www.kittybakes.com/

who does a great job at making this delicious

Lemon poppy seed cake and those little cuppies.

Everyone loves the cake even little babies too!

I have included some fruit tarts and buns as well.

They were yummy and healthy food as well.

The bakery that I ordered from

does make a point to make them less sweeter for the kids.

Here are some ice-cream toppings that I prepare for the kids....

The lovely macha and chocolate marshmellows on sticks....

the mushrooms are for decoration only.

Found them at a Japanese shop which is yummy

as there's some macha inside those marshmellows!

Here is my little Red Riding hood deco... cute eh?

Here's my DIY paper WOLF for the kids to hit the Big bad wolf on it's head! it was part of the activites that I plan for the party. The children loves to kill the wolf... especially the boys!

Hope you find this post an inspiration for your kids party at home!
Finally, The kids have some gifts to take home for rememberence.
They all got one of these and an apple as well.
